My wife, little daughter and I visited the restaurant at the Ibis Styles Hotel for dinner. The dining area is also the breakfast room of the hotel, which basically does not speak against it. The service was friendly. The meal took a relatively long time (there were two guests besides us). The menu was apparently very much shortened due to Corona and contained very classic Italian dishes. I ordered Spaghetti Napoli and my wife Pizza Margharita (the only vegetarian main courses, by the way). However, the quality of the food was disastrous. The pizza was actually unseasoned and had a layer of fat from the cheese. The pasta was cooked to death and tasted worse than canned ravioli. I received a comparable meal once during a first aid course. Here the food provider had frozen dishes ready to be thawed. Since I couldn't see a cook either, I suspect the food was thawed in the oven or microwave. For a price of € 10.90 for the pasta and about € 8.60 for the pizza, it was a big disappointment. The only positive thing: due to my complaint with the nice waitress, we were waived the costs for the barely touched food. That saves two more points. The mineral water was chilled and drinkable and cost € 5.50 a bottle. The hotel management should really consider closing the restaurant, paying a cook or honestly informing customers about the convenience food with a reduced price.
Pizza was delicious. Waitresses very friendly, even the chef personally asked how it tasted. Reservation by email is practical. Cozy and stylish ambience. Free parking possible.
In terms of taste, the pizza was maximally middle class in this segment in Regensburg - but in terms of price one would like to think that it is an upper class restaurant. (Approx. € 11 / ~ 30cm pizza) Even on arrival there is nowhere a reference to the parking regulations at the restricted parking lot for restaurant guests - we would only have been offered exit tickets when we left. When asked on arrival, they said you had to pay. Therefore we parked 200 m in front of the hotel. Unfortunately, the otherwise very polite waiter only had very rudimentary knowledge of German. Maybe that's why there was a misunderstanding about parking fees. We will not come back because of the far better price / performance ratio elsewhere.
